We are super excited to announce the return of FV’s Coffeehouse fundraiser! ☕️⠀ ⠀ This beloved event is hosted by our youth and all funds raised will go towards Global Shore Opportunities. GSO supports a K-12 school in Pastores, Guatemala. ⠀ ⠀ All are welcome, so invite your friends, family and neighbours!⠀ ⠀ There will be musical performances, silent auction items and a cafe stocked with treats. If you would like to help support this event in any of these ways please contact Nicole or Ryan.

Feb. 16 - Sunday Morning Hike Join us for a famil Feb. 16 - Sunday Morning Hike Join us for a family appropriate hike at 14 Mile Creek Hike - 10:00am Park at Palermo School on Valleyridge Dr. and walk over to the playground at Valleyridge Park. (The park is across the street and down from the school.) The walk will commence from the Park at 10:00am and leaders will be in place who are familiar with the route. No Registration Required. Terrain will allow for strollers.
To Our ForestView Family, As the months of constr To Our ForestView Family, As the months of construction have carried on we are grateful for the relatively minimal affect this has had on our regular worship gatherings and weekly programming. However, we are now at the exciting point of nearing final stages and have been advised that our washrooms need to be decommissioned for the next two weeks to accommodate finishing them. As well it is time for the sanctuary to be completely emptied for the floor to be prepped and finished. We had hoped to avoid cancellations or changes to our gatherings but see this is as the best way forward for the next two weeks. Changes to programming will be communicated by email and via social media.

Week of Prayer - Jan 12th - Jan 17th Devoting Him Week of Prayer - Jan 12th - Jan 17th Devoting Himself to time alone with His Father was foundational to Jesus’ earthly life.  In John 5:19, Jesus told His Jewish persecutors that He could do nothing by Himself, that He only did what He saw his Father doing.  Later, in John 15:5, He told His disciples to “remain” in Him, that apart from Him we would accomplish nothing of spiritual significance.  Jesus prioritized connection with His Father above all else. Tough words for us – but also an incredible invitation to His apprentices to “taste and see”, to walk in step with Him, to be part of the healing and restoration work of Christ’s Kingdom, wherever we are.  It only makes sense that we at ForestView pursue prayer, as Jesus did while on earth and as He does now for us in heaven. That said, an hour of prayer can feel daunting.  Do what you can, but don’t worry if you can’t quite pray for the entire time – or even if you fall asleep!  None of us is an “expert” on prayer.  Prayer is a practice, but at heart, it is relationship with the One who loves us best.  Pursuing God in prayer signals our intention that we want to deepen our relationship with Him as well as see His hand at work in our broken world. We are very excited to welcome Nat Evans and his f We are very excited to welcome Nat Evans and his family as he steps into the role of Lead Pastor here at ForestView! If you were unable to join us on January 5th for Nat's commissioning, you can listen to the audio in the sermon section of the ForestView Website. A Few Words on Nat Nat has been married to his wife Julie for 10 years and together they have two children, Beckett and Alaiya. Nat loves to read, write, NBA basketball; and is ever in search of the perfect fish taco. Nat’s heart is to help people discover the incredible life that happens as we surrender our lives to Jesus and discover our true selves in the story of God. He longs to see the church wrestle with what it means to truly follow Jesus and be a community that embodies his self-giving love.
