What to Expect on Sunday

At ForestView we want you to be comfortable. When you visit on a Sunday you’ll experience great music, a message relevant to your life, friendly people, and an enjoyable atmosphere.

The first thing you’ll notice is our casual atmosphere with people of all ages and walks of life. We’re more concerned about your real life needs than about what you’re wearing. So dress casual and you’ll fit right in.

Music has the power to speak to our hearts. Our worship team will lead us in upbeat, contemporary songs of celebration and intimate songs of worship. We recognize that individuals worship in their own unique way. Some prefer singing and clapping, and others favour moments of quiet reflection. Some may enjoy standing while others prefer to sit. Whatever your preference, we encourage you to do what makes you feel comfortable.

Our messages focus on real life issues. We want you to be able to say that what we talked about on Sunday helped you throughout the week: at home, at work, and with your life.

Church, for us, is not about religion, it’s about a relationship with God. It’s not about pretending that we’re perfect, it’s about a God who is willing to give His grace to grow us.

Children are very important at ForestView.

We are committed to ensuring your kids having a great experience at church. We offer age appropriate programs from nursery to grade 5. The staff and volunteers create a safe and fun place for children to learn practical lessons from the Bible and begin to develop a relationship with God.

Kids are signed in and out of their classes by their parents. Parents are given a security tag to present at the end of the service to pick up their children.

SK-Grade 5

Kids head upstairs to their own specially designed program where they begin the morning in a large-group singing fun worship songs, participating in a game and listening to a Bible story shared by an energetic speaker. The second half of the morning is spent in a small-groups organized by grade.

After enjoying a time of worship with the adults, Junior Youth (Grade 6, 7 and 8 students) are dismissed to participate in a time of learning focused on biblical principles that can be lived out all week long. Discussion topics are designed to help a build a solid foundation and strong relationship with God.

Roughly one Sunday per month Junior Youth will remain in the main Sunday morning worship gathering.
