As we move into the Christmas season, we reflect upon Jesus’ life, the greatest blessing of all. Jesus speaks to us about opening up our hearts and minds to follow him and to remember his commands.
“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.” – Galatians 6:9-10
Please take time this Christmas to consider financially supporting Christian families and young children in Egypt through VOMC’s Christmas Blessing project. This is a way for Forestview to reach out as a community and bless those who are suffering and in need of support. Below is more information about the Christmas Blessing project:
VOMC’s (Voice of the Martyr’s Canada) Christmas Blessing Project strives to convey our solidarity with persecuted brothers and sisters facing sever challenges for their faith, and to prayerfully provide them with a measure of help, hope and encouragement. Our goal this Christmas is to bless 3,000 Christian families in nine villages throughout Egypt with a Christmas Blessing package. These families live with the daily pressures of persecution while living out their faith in a hostile environment.
Each Christmas Blessing package, which contains practical supplies and a special gift for the children, will bring joy to the recipients. More importantly, the families will appreciate the fact that the gifts they receive come from Christian brothers and sisters from Canada who have remembered them in their suffering.
The giving of a Christmas Blessing package is an expression of love. As we remember the gift of God’s love, as demonstrated through His Son Jesus, let us be motivated to share this Good News with others around the world!
