I am excited to introduce Kayla Dion to our KidsView team this summer. There is no rest for Children’s Ministry during the summer months, in fact, we are getting ready to shift into high gear! Kayla has joined the team to lead KidsView on Sunday mornings and to assist in the leading of the community carnival and Zapped Field Trip Camps.
Kayla has graduated from Ryerson University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in dance. Her passion is working with children. Kayla has been leading a group of children in KidsView for the past 3 years, and has lead a dance elective in our mid-week Energize program a few years ago, so she is no stranger to the children and families at ForestView. In addition to her experience at ForestView, she is a dance instructor and choreographer for students from ages 5-18. She has experience in planning and implementing events of large groups of children and has a wealth of administrative skills and expertise.
Two years ago, Kayla spent several weeks in Africa teaching dance and leading bible studies to children at Iris Ministries Malawi. She talks about this time as life-changing. She is now leading the missions team at ForestView, combining her leadership abilities with her passion for missions.
I am excited to have Kayla joining our staff this summer. Her expansive experience and knowledge will be a great asset at ForestView this summer! I am anxious to see how God will continue to use and bless Kayla during her time serving God through our summer ministries at ForestView.
