We are seeking to add new members to our Leadership Team and invite your help in discerning who these individuals might be.

The Role of the Leadership Team

The Leadership Team serves as shepherds of our church, caring for the community, encouraging spiritual growth, and guarding the church from harm. As overseers, they help discern and communicate Forestview’s vision and guide the church’s life and ministry with wisdom and grace.

Members serve five-year terms, followed by at least one year away from the team to participate in other ministries.

Leadership Team members are committed to:

• • Servant leadership –  following the example of Jesus
  • Shared leadership – valuing diverse voices, without a sense of hierarchy and seeking consensus
  • Active engagement with the Forestview community so that the team understands and represents the church faithfully
  • Leading by example in alignment with Forestview’s vision and values

Current Leadership Team

Ahmos Henry, Pumi Moyo, Doug Dias, Paul Graham, Tim Allison, Sarah Mack, Bruce Beacham, Celine Aziz, and Sarah Burt.

With gratitude for their faithful service, Pumi Moyo and Doug Dias will be stepping down.

We are seeking two or three new members to join the Leadership Team this fall.

Desired Characteristics

People who:

• • are already serving within the church
  • demonstrate the character of an elder (1 Timothy 3:1–7; Titus 1:6–9)
  • have been part of Forestview for 2–3 years or more
  • bring gifts that complement the leadership team
  • demonstrate a passion and gifting for leadership
  • support Forestview’s statement of faith, leadership covenant, and vision

Do you know someone who would serve the church well in this role? Perhaps someone who has encouraged your faith—or perhaps a calling you yourself have been sensing.
