Cole McFarlanePastor of Worship, Communication & Operations
After graduating from Briercrest College with a B.A. in Christian Ministry, Cole joined the ForestView team in September 2008. Cole’s role has morphed over the years to include Sunday mornings, communication and operations.

Cole met Janessa in 2011 through a Clearwater Players’ production of Bye Bye Birdie, and they got married in 2014. They live in Burlington, far too close to the local music store, with their son Francis and daughter Ellis.

Cole is passionate about the intersection between faith and art and is pumped to grow with ForestView in the areas of Music, Media, Art and Liturgy as the church explores different ways of expressing ourselves during times of communal worship. Cole has been playing video games for 28 years, and is a big fan of film, music and graphic design.

Alisa WardPastor of Youth & Young Adults
Alisa, along with her husband Brandon, and two daughters, Gracie and Hayden, joined the forestview family 3 years ago. Alisa loves knitting, coffee, and all things pink and crafty.

Alisa has been serving within youth and young adults ministry for many years. A Mini Yo We girl at heart, she has a love for Jesus and discipleship, and finding ways to draw our Youth and Young Adults closer to him. Her heart is to create a community where students can come and be openly, and unapologetically themselves. Where they can meet together and grow in their faith, and create lasting relationships with individuals who will walk alongside them throughout this stage of life.

Marcée LanePastor of Mission & Discipleship
Marcée grew up in Dundas Ontario surrounded by family who loved Jesus. After completing high school, Marcée took a two-year break and then went to Redeemer where she completed her bachelor’s degree in Religion and Theology. Upon graduation, Marcée moved to Tillsonburg, Ontario to work with Youth for Christ (YFC). During that time, Marcée led a team of youth on a short-term mission trip to La Paz, Bolivia. While in La Paz, God placed an undeniable calling on Marcée to return to Bolivia, and she worked as a missionary there for five years.

Following five years of living abroad, Marcée returned to Canada and became co-director of International Programs and a live-in supervisor at home for refugees for two years in Kitchener, Ontario.

After twelve years of fundraising her salary and with an interest in social services, Marcée completed her Master of Social Work at Wilfred Laurier University. Within weeks of graduating from Laurier, Marcée began to work at Indwell, a Christian charity that creates affordable, supported housing communities. Marcée wraps up her time at Indwell this September as she transitions to Forestview.

While working at Indwell, Marcée met Jeremy Lane in the fall of 2019 and in the fall of 2021, Jeremy and Marcée married and now live in Burlington. They have been attending Forestview since June 2021, and from the first Sunday, they felt welcomed and knew that God had led them to this church family.
